Seminar "Miniaturized machinery, innovation and web marketing in agriculture" was held on 17 December 2013 in the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Zadar County Chamber premises, as one of the activities of the project "Miniaturization technology: synergies of research and innovation to enhance the economic development of the Adriatic - IPATECH", in which the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Zadar County Chamber is the final beneficiary, along with another eight partners from five European countries.
The seminar's themes, which brought together around twenty entrepreneurs and representatives of institutions from the Zadar County, were miniaturized mobile solar machinery for drying fruits and vegetables, olive oil production, etc, which is an innovative technology of food production, customized to small producers, and web marketing in agriculture, presented to the participants by Mr. Petar Pedišić from the Croatian Chamber of Economy - Zadar County Chamber. Mr. Radoslav Bobanović, from the Agricultural Cooperative Maslina i vino from Polača, presented his activity - cultivation of olives, grapes and dried fruit - as an example of good practice in agricultural production. The activity plan of the Agri – food innovation center, which will be established, as part of the project activities, in the Zadar Chamber at the beginning of the year 2014, was presented by Ms. Vesna Vertovšek, external expert on the Project. The center would be responsible, she said, for the education of entrepreneurs on topics for which the participants, according to the questionnaire performed at the meeting, showed interest - innovation in agricultural production, networking and organizing of entrepreneurs in agriculture, certification and quality management systems, loan programs for farmers, the legislative framework of food production, etc. The Center will serve as a place of interconnection and exchange of knowledge and experiences of entrepreneurs in the agri - food sector and research institutions.
