AULEDA in collaboration with the Agriculture Technology Transfer Center in the framework of IPATECH Project have organized the event: “The Extra virgin olive oil is a natural and healthy product".
The aim of this workshop was to promote the IPATECH Project and the autochthonousorganic olive oil product as well as its nutrition and curative values.
The Minister of Agriculture Mr.Panariti, The Prefect of Vlora Mr.Dervishi, the Director of COI (International Olive Counsels) Mr. Barjol, the representative of Albanian Olive Oil producers Mrs.Postoli. were invited to attend and participate.
The number of participants in the workshop was 70: local and national olive oil producers, representative of agriculture directorate, national and international lectors at the University, olive oil specialist and national and international researchers, associations, media
The Minister of Agriculture, underlined the interest of the government for the Olive oil and the value of autochthon olive tree as a national treasure.
Albania produces good quality olive oil and the possibility for export has shown so far the need for all producers to make high quality olive oil to be part of the European market. With the Support Strategy for the producer of extra virgin olive oil the Albanian government and the Ministry of Agriculture made clear that the quality is a priority to be enhanced.
