Minister of agriculture of the Republic of Croatia met the ministers of agriculture of Southeast Europe

The minister of agriculture of the Republic of Croatia Mr Tihomir   Jakovina participated at the meeting with the ministers of agriculture of the region in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzagovina from 4 to 5 April 2013.

The meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the Permanent Working Group for Regional Rural Development in South East Europe (SWG).

 It was the continuation of the meeting held in Belgrade on 5 March 2013. The theme was a problem caused by the appearance of aflatoxin in cattle food, milk and milk products for human consumption.

The goal of the meeting was to discuss the establishment of procedures to ensure continuous connection between the institutions of the countries of Southeast Europe, dealing with risk assessment, risk management, quality control and testing of food and food products and to take a common view about taking action and preparing an action plan to improve coordination and communication of the ministries in the region.
