On the 30th of January 2014 Rural Development Association (ASR) organized the regional capacity building workshop at the conference room of LAG Valle della Cupa in Trepuzzi, Puglia. Key actors and stakeholders were invited to participate in new strategies to implement more solid and long lasting cooperation amongst rural entrepreneurs and other organizations interested in the enhancement of the agrofood sector.
Best practices collected by the project partners in the cooperation area were presented together with new technologies that meet the needs, size and production capacity of micro and small entrepreneurs.
Special attention was dedicated to two solar driers which will be used by ASR in the implementation of the foreseen pilot activities. These technologies can have a relevant role in the enhancement of the economic competitiveness of micro and small rural entrepreneurs since, amongst other benefits, they allow the recovery of the surplus in the production of the cultivated fruit and vegetable. The value of a technology that reduces impacts on the environment was underlined.
In May Rural Development Association will start implementing experimental activities.
